What does the host location need to supply for The Community Meal?*

The host location will supply (for 100-150 people):

  • Table and chairs

  • Volunteers (approximately 6)

  • Working kitchen

  • Miscellaneous kitchen supplies as needed

  • Beverages (coffee, water, lemonade, milk - pick two)

Optional Items:

  • Musical performances, crafts or anything that highlights your church

  • Centerpieces for tables, decorations.

  • Other condiments (butter or margarine, Parmesan cheese)

*Please note The Community Meal may be able to provide/assist with food donations. 

WHAT DOES THE COMMUNITY MEAL SUPPLY?

The Community Meal will supply (for 100-150 people):

  • Event advertising (e-mail, online postings, social media postings, location signage, etc.)

  • Provide sponsor donations

  • Warming equipment and miscellaneous kitchen utensils as needed (for pick-up)

  • Two Community Meal coordinators and additional volunteers upon request

What is a typical schedule for the day of the meal?

Day of Meal Schedule (Indoor Dining)

3:30 PM

  • Prep food

  • Set up dessert, salad and beverage tables

  • Set up greeter table/area – name tags, markers

  • Set up dinner tables (seating for at least 100 people)

  • Make beverages (i.e. lemonade, iced tea, water or coffee)

  • Set up desserts

5:00-6:15 PM

  • Greet and meet the guests

  • Serve food

  • Bus tables

  • Replenish food as needed

6:15-7:15 PM

  • General clean-up

  • Load equipment into The Community Meal's vehicles
